Any Blueseal stores around ? Gamebird feed comes in 50 pound
bags . Starter or feed your choice.

It may rudimentary, but we use simple ole milo in all of our feeders. It's cheap and our birds seem to like it.

Are you are feeding wild quail, released birds or birds in a pen
either way this is what i do
Pen birds awaiting to be released get Starter/grower
i feed my wild birds and released birds a mixture of wheat, corn, soybeans
this is what i grow and have in my grain ben if you can't find this from a local farmer wild bird seed works fine if it isn't too cold

I have to agree with daleh. We have always use wheat and soybeans as a supplement.

Here is a site that has a high protein cereal grain mix...millet, milo, sunflower, corn, soybeans, etc. Really good stuff.

Just go to the store and then look under "feeders" and you can look at what they have.
