HELP NEEDED!!!

I was wondering if my shot size of 6 is too small for Ruffed Grouse. I have a 12 guage witha full choke. Any answers would be appreactiated.

anything between #4 to 7 1/2 should be sufficient...but I would get a more openchoke since ruffies are usually close shots.

Id personally use 5 shot with a modified choke.

I hunt alot of grouse 6'sare ok but I use mostly 7 1/2's Buy some good 7 1/2 's not the cheap ones from walmart but good shells. Trust me it makes a difference.

I slaughter them with 20ga imp cyl and 1oz 7 1/2 . Ruffs don't handle shot well at all not hard to kill just hard to hit. Shell quality is important!
