Anyone hunt So Cal chukar?

Opening day is a bit over a month away and I am hearing good things about this years hatches. Time to get in running shape.

I've been to that website.

Never got any birds other than quail and dove near Palmdale or Lancaster, but I did getsome chukarnear El Mirage (which isn't too far away from those areas) before BLM closed the area to hunting.
