Help Me Please!
 

Hey you hunters my name is diego and I wish to become part of the small game hunting community. Only problem is I have no rifle. I was hoping you more experienced hunters could instruct me as to what rifle I should be buying. I plan to kill pigeons, crows, iguana’s and maybe a little bigger animal like a chicken. I was thinking of buying a daisy 0.177 that has a speed of 750 fps. Do you guys think this rifle is good enough or do I need a 0.22? This is the biggest question I have since the daisy is much cheaper than any of the 0.22 and comes with a scope. Please help me I don’t want to buy the 0.177 and then not be able to hunt anything. The last time I shot a animal with a bb gun I was 8 or so. Are the animals you are going to hunt leagle in your area? Are you going to eat them or just kill them? I wouldnt consider any of those animals GAME animals they are more thought of as pests.

As for afectiveness of a pellet gun I would say it would kill all the animas except the crows, you wont get close enuf to use it, those dam birds are smart. I have a hard time getting close enuf for a 22 rifle.

so you think the 0.177 will be good enough for all except the crow? as for the legal aspect I live in puerto rico and they are tropicalforest where Ill just hunt without a license. The only thing is that I dont wan to buy a 0.177 just because it is cheaper and then have to buy a 0.22 because I can't kill anything with it. Any opinions are welcomed please help me I want to place an order for a rifle today and want to hunt now.

Ok i will just ignore every thing and say get the .22, more power more fun;). Be careful what ya shoot, and try and eat it if ya kill it. How is the weather down there.

Thanks I will consider your advice. I think I will buy a 0.22 but I am still not shure wich one. Any extra advice is welcomed. How many fps should I consider basic in a pellet gun?
