That sounds like great patterns to me!! You should be set. Now you just have to get close to a turkey!

your ready to go. I shoot an 835 with jellyhead and 3-1/2" #5 hevi-shot. At 40 yds, I get about 30-35 in head/neck area. Haven't shot mine any further, but figure 50 would probably be my max if necessary.

30 yd patterns were devastating on target and I got a bird this year at 18 yds...suprised he still had a head left!!!

Even though at 60 yds you are getting enough bb's in the head neck, I personally wouldnt try to take a shot over 45 - 50 yds, because of the low amount of energy left in the shot at that distance. You'd probably just irritate, or mame the bird, and not provide it with a clean kill. VERY impressive patterns though!! Sounds like you found the right combo.

thanks guys thats good info i knew 50-60 yard shots are pretty risky but i shot the patterns for the fun of it although this gun really busts up your cheek shooting the 31/2s off the bench. pa season starts saturday and cant wait to get out there and hopefully get a bird to come in. good luck.
