Went out yesterday, just doing some calling! Great success!!
 

Yeah yesterday in wisconsin here i went out, do a little calling, i'vehunted turkey for 2, going on 3 years, I never really did much calling, never called one in. This year i decided to take it more serious, i watched some instructional vids, and yesterday i went out, at around 9, by 10 i had called in my first jake, but i wanted more, i started walking, callin as i went, andi heard a gooble, so i set up, and kept callin, he wasn't seeming to get ne closer, so i started doing a purr, once in awhile, sure enough in he came, 15 yrds, too bad my season is in 2 weeks, but luckily the tom had no idea i was there, and i had no decoy, so i didn't spook him. He looked about 20 lbs, nice beard on him, i'd say 9-10". hopefully i can get him in when it really counts

Sounds like you had a great day. I like getting out and calling them in also. Just be careful you don't educate them in the process. Those calls may not work on that bird again now. Good Luck.

once he got in 15 yrds, i stopped, then like 5 min later another hen called him off, he had no clue i was there, so should be good
