Striker I Made
I made a striker to go with my Knight & Hale Ol' Yeller Sla-Tek
I had to scan it cause I don't have a digital camera. I didn't glue it together so I could slide it up and down to, Change the tone. To make it longer or shorter. All three pics are the same striker. It sounds great. Here it is. Its not perfect But it works lol ![]() ![]() ![]() Let me know what you think of it, OK Thank You |

RE: Striker I Made
Looks good, I am also curious about the type of wood you used.

RE: Striker I Made
I've been into making my own strikers for a while now. Try one with a dried up corn cob.
Just bore a 3/8" hole down through the center and glue in a 3/8" dowel. Make sure you stain and varnish the dowel first, it looks good against the corncob. It means a little more when you made the call that you get him with. |
RE: Striker I Made

RE: Striker I Made
Looks good, I am also curious about the type of wood you used. It was a dowel off a tore up flag . And the top was a peace of a 1 in dowel. I think its poplar wood but not sure. |
