That's a very good question. I personally have not had a hen hit on a owl call, but can't say for sure they won't.

The only way I've had a hen respond to me was through other hen calls.

Not for me. So far all the respone I've gotten from hens are as follows:

1. Hen calls, clucks and purs, almost before I even get to finish
2. Walk away immediatly and take the tom with her[:@]

I have never had one. If I had to guess I would say no but that might not always be the case.
