Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

bypass pruners
8 mouthcalls [pitman's, and Qboy,and homemade]

All of my calls and "tricks of the trade" gear are an automatic when it comes to important things in my vest, but probably the MOST important thing I have is my good ole butt wipe toilet paper. Unfortunatlly I have irritable bowel syndrome so ya never know when the urge is gonna hit. I've forgotten it a time or two. Thats when I come out of the woods with no underwear and no socks. But I dont let it slow me down, I've even been taking a "nature call" and had a gobbler roosted less than 50 yards away, I finished my business then called him up and harvested him. Yea I know its kinda sick but hey everybody does it, some of us just more than others.

Some of you guys pack a lot of stuff in. I bring
1 slate, couple strikers
3-4 mouth calls
knife
cell phone
water only if its REALLY hot
xtra shells
bug spray
TP

This including my gloves and head net all fit in a small fanny pack and a couple pockets. I can't live without bug spray.

It is my first year turky hunting and the thing brought up here I am most likely to place in my vest is the TP. I never gave it a thought but now I think it would be really smart.

Thats a very wise observation jashoffa cause when mother nature calls, she calls and it dont matter where your at.

SAVEDBYGRACE, thanks for noticeing I forgot to list the things I will be bringing with me for my first year.

custom made box call (made by a friend of mine)
K&H Ol' Yeller Sla-tek with 2 strikers
couple of mouth calls (not the best caller with them yet)
primos power crow locator
H.S. Strut hoot tube
quaker boy coyote howler
webbed seat (the wally word version)
of course as I said before gotta have the tp!

I suppose I should bring some water, and something to eat?

Gloves
face mask
camo face paint (I don't know if I will use it)

Mine has way to much stuff. Why is it that we have a favorite mouth call, but carry 10, and use only 1 striker for the slate call, but have a collection of every style ever made stuffed somewhere. I think the vest people are in buisness with the call makers and gadget makers, why else would they have 20+ pockets for us to load up.
