Need advice on both guns, the 870 will have a thumbhole stock and both guns will be camo and have fiber optics. Any advice would be great.

I'm in the same dilemma for next year. I currently have a mossberg 835 ulti-mag, but want another turkey gun. I too am trying to decide between the new 870 thumbhole or the mossberg 935.

I really want a semi and do not want to spend 800.00 for an 1187. I also like that mossberg drills and taps for scope. I do not like the looks of the b-square setup for rem's and I want to use a red dot like on my 835.

I have seen the mossy 935 here locally in mossy oak new breakup for 475.00 and the rem 870 thumbhole at basspro for 499.00 right now on sale.

I have owned rem's before and like their overall quality a little better than the mossbergs.

I'm torn?

Don't know about the 870, but i have both the 835 and the 935 and love both guns. just bought the 935 a couple of months ago and love the way it shoots. 22 pellets in head and neck at 40 yards.

the choice would be easy for me . the remington 870 is one of the most reliable shotguns ever produced. it also will weight a little less than an autoloader. i also like the idea of the thumbhole stock. that stock would make it more confortable on a long wait.
