I think its which ever one you feel best using. i like and use them all but i feel good using them. but i wouldnt leave the house w/o having a mouth call w/ me.

Mouth calls but if you are just starting out I would say nothing but the double glass black widow by H.S. Strut.

The Gobbler has always been the best one to answer that question for me.
I've struck a gobble using a box then changed to the mouth call and he'd have nuthin to do with it. Versatility is everything, but if I had to choose just one call, it would be a good box call that is capable of getting loud or quieting down.
