Turkey & fox

The fox was about 3 or 4 feet from the turkeys. He didnt even look at them.

That is an awesome picture! What happened afterward? Did the fox continue on his way, did the turkeys scatter?

Aught six, He walked right next to the turkeys and the turkeys never ran or flew, they just stood there watching him with their necks stretched out.

Those pics are best I have seen of a fox interacting with turkeys. Oh, if I only spoke their language!! I would love to know what was going through the mind of both species. One would think that such an encounter would lead to a struggle of some kind. Shows we don't always know what we think we know when it comes to Ma Nature.

Thanks for sharing!

Here is one that I took last winter. Coyote and turkey. They used this picture in Turkey & Turkey Hunting magazine in feb/2005.

Wow... an uninterested fox AND yote... without spooking bird(s)? In seperate seasons too. Your predators must be vegetarians and your foul must know it. [&:]
