I have a box with at least 5 or 6 chokes in it and about 15 boxs of turkey loads laying around... You just might have to spend a little money to find the right combo... What works in my gun might not work in yours...

What kind of gun are you shooting????

My Undertaker choke throws the best pattern with Winchester Supreme #5's. It is the 1 3/4oz 3" load.

Ijust got back from shooting. Lat night I bought some Win HV #5, Rem Nitro Turkey #5, and Fed Flite Control #5. I also had some Win HV #6, and Rem Duplex. All these loads shot much better. The results at 30yds:Rem Duplex=15 hits H/N Rem Nitro= 18 Hits H/N Federal Flite Control=10 H/N Win HV #5= 16 H/N
I didn't get to shoot the Win HV #6 at 30. I hope to do that tomorrow. I will shoot the Duplex at 40 yds. These patterns are a lot better than they were, but there is still some time before my season starts. Hopefully I will be able to improve some more. Any suggestions?

Try a box of Nitro Hevi-Shot and your search will be over. I know they are a little pricey but how many rounds does one shoot each year after he gets his gun patterned?

We have maybe 600 or 700 invested in a turkey gun and then let a buck or 2 keep us from shooting the best ammo thru it?

I have a Mossberg 835 turkey shotgun 12 gauge and use Federal FliteControl Wad # 4 shot and get a decent pattern maybe you should try federal ammo and see how you do...

Try Remington number 6's. They pattern well in my boy's 20 gauge Nova with Undertaker choke.

I bought a pack of the nitro tri plex loads and shot them out of my 11-87 SPT with 5 different chokes and they shot no better than any of the other good loads that I patterned.... If your going to go the nitro route you miles well get the Rhino choke also....

Dude you can spend a !@#$ load of money trying to get the perfect pattern...

How many vital hits are you getting at 40 yards???

Tonight, I shot the Win HV #6 at 30 yds. I got 33 in the head and neck. At 40, there is 10 in the head and neck.
