hey guys , would like some info on misssouri birds, im in western ark and i thought about trying my luck on a miss. bird. any info on where i could maybe get in on a week-end hunt would be greatly appreciated. i've heard about themark twain? thanks alot

Mark Twain National forest is a good bet. Also Peck Ranch west of Van Buren up P highway is a good choice!

duc yes you should try out Mark Twain forest. There is a lot of ground to cover and lots of birds on it. I live in Salem, and am within 20 miles of a lot of the national forest, and there is also a 14000 acre state park called Indian Trail Park, which has some great turkey hunting. Also there is another smaller state land called White Trace which was started as a quail refuge and you can hunt turkeys there., and it doesnt get much pressure. Any way you could really get into some good hunting around here, but you may have to put a few miles on your boots, but there are a lot of birds.

thanks for the info. gonna get some maps and check these places out. sounds great. got vacation coming up soon, in 3 weeks, gonna try to get on one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! once again, thank you and good hunting.

duc... Hey let me know if you want me to pick oyu up a few maps and send them to you. If youd like, I could run down to a few of the conservation areas and pick up area maps for ya if you send me an address. Hope you get on some birds around here.

Duc, where are you in AR? I'm up in Springdale. I've seen your name on some of the forums before and was wondering if we were anywhere near each other.
