ever happened to you?
 

Today i shot a big gobbler with my bow the arrow looked like it hit good and stuck in the bird. The other smaller gobblers in the group ran him off out of sight. I waited a little bit and got out to find where i hit him i found my nock and some blood it and a bunch of feathers i looked for the turkey for the rest of the day and never found him.

When a turkey is mortally wounded they will run and hide under some brush... you might want to go back and start your search again this time look in brush piles and dead falls...

keep looking....my sister lost probably the best bird of her life with her bow.............

If all else fails.Find someone who owns a good bird dog.I've heard of guys who recovered wounded birds that way.Like Mr.Longbeard said.They'll do their dangdest to hide.

I saw a turkey hunting show and the turkey
When he was shot with a arrow flew off.

And they found him under a log.

Good Luck finding him.

Head to the bushes! Seen it before... he's likely piled up under the thick stuff. Amazing how well they can tuck away in undergrowth. Don't pass up the small spots, stumps, weed clumps and such. Good luck on the recovery.
