Mossberg's new 835 "X-Factor" ulti-full ported choke

I recently bought a Grand Slam 835 with a 20" barrel and I'm wondering if anyone has patterned their gun with this new factory choke? If so, what were your results? Thanks

Give a little more info on your patterns, what ammo you are using
and at the yardage you are patterning at.

RE: Mossberg's new 835 "X-Factor" ulti-full ported choke

I've now tried Win HV #4, #5, Federal 1 7/8oz #4,#5 and the new Federal flite control high velocity #5/#6. All had good patterns at 30 yards, but close calls at 40 (i.e. 5-10 pellets in the head and neck with some holes in the pattern). Generally speaking, the #4's shot the best for all brands. I have some new flite control #4's I'm going to try. I recently noticed the pattern is kind of high and left at 40 yards so that may be part of the problem (if it wasn't me pulling). It came wtih fiber optic sites and I'll have to look at adjusting those.

Still would like to hear what others think of this new factory choke!

I put one of the new mossberg XXfull chokes on my model 500 and it throws a decent pattern. Im throwing about 20-25 in the vitals at 40 yards and 125 in a 10 inch square at that distance. Pattern is uniform and no holes. #5 federal flite control.
