I do....

I use equal amounts of shot and powder. Powder charge is Pyrodex RS.

I also use a plastic shot cup to help keep my pattern tight.

What you need to do is get out there and try different charges (powder amount vs shot amount) and find what patterns good for you.

I use 100 grains of powder and use #4 copper plated lead shot.

The gun is a Pedroselli - 10 ga. side by side.

I am fairly new to the muzzle loading thing too. I'm useing a Thompson Center 12 Gauge New Englander with a HS Strut .675 Choke tube. What I have worked up so far is 90 grains of Goex ffg a knight plastic shot cup and 2 oz of 6 shot.
It patterns rather well. It's good out to 35 yards. I am going to do more tweeking yet before season.
