What is the difference between Magshock and Hevi-Shot? Can you shoot Mag shock through chokes not rated for Hevi-Shot?

Does the Mag Shok with Flite control Wads pattern better than the Hevi-Shot?

Mag Shok is a Federal Premium load and Hevi-shot is either Remington or Hevi-shot brand by Environ-Metal.

Mag Shok is suppose to be about 20% heavier than Hevi-Shot according to what I have read.

I have also read that Mag-Shok is suppose to be the tightest patterning load out there according to Turkey and TUrkey Hunter Magazine.

I thought I also read that Mag-shok can be shot through any choke, BUT DONT QUOTE ME ON THAT!!! Check their website.

I am going to get both this weekend and see for myself!!! I also heard the New Hi-Density extended range Winchester rounds are suppose to be good. They are Winchester's version of hevi-shot.

The new federal heavyweights can be shot out of any choke. This is from the mouths of the techs at Federal. As far as pattering goes. Ive tested both the Mag Shok copper plated lead and the heavyweights out of a Full, Xfull , and XXfull choke. The copper plated lead #5 shot was the best pattern ive ever gotten out my gun. Averaged 25 in the vital head and neck areas at 40 yards with a very uniform pattern around that. I couldnt get the heavyweights to do as well.
