I like 4's. It doesn't rake many to knouck out a turkey.

Just for clarity, are all the pellets hitting either the neck bone or brain? Sometimes shot traveling though the softer tissue in the neck or waddles, etc. will allow a bird to escape and die elsewhere.

If those are hits in the neck vertabre or brain you have quite a shooter there, especially with a 20 guage and #4 shot!
