I just ordered one from Tim Sanford. He makes some really nice looking calls that also do well in the NWTF working calls competition so you know they sound good as well.

I prefer custom & make my own. That is what got Slee & myself to start Backwooods Calls, we wanted a custom call to sound the way we wanted it to but not have to pay the custom prices.

Yep, and I'll be packing a few of ours this Spring. I think we are both partial to our Purpleheart glass over slate. I was a Power Crystal fan for several years, but those days are gone. I think we make a better one. And it's always satisfying when you see the success of others from using your calls. I think if you are looking for real quality, custom calls are the ONLY way to go.

I just bought the glass over glass from Larry Bean, Memory Maker Calls. Larry just won the D.D. Adams award at the national NWTF Show. It is by far the best I've heard.

gotta say that i love my kaiser kall. the only call i'll buy at walmart, are the mouth (diaphram) calls
