Broadheads for turkey huntin

I think someone may have asked this a while back, but I couldn't find the post, so here it is...what broadhead do ya'll suggest to hunt turkey with? This will be my first season to bow hunt, so I don't really have a good idea of what is best and most effective for birds.
Any help is really appreciated!
Thanks,
Kendra[8D]

I like Rocket Hammerheads, large diameter will give you a little more margin for error and do a lot of damage. Try for a setup that will expend all the arrows energy on the bird and not passthru completely it will improve your chances of a quick easy recovery. Good hunting but be warned when you stick one it'll be hard to pick up a gun again. It was for me anyway.

I've had success with these 3 models.

Rocket Sledgehammer....150 grs, IMO the "king daddy" of turkey BH's-
3 1/2" cut and does a LOT of damage!

4 Blade Rocket Hammerhead...108 grs w/ a 2" cut

Nap Spitfire....100 grs with a 1 1/2" cut - sometimes I will use a adder
point behind the BH, it weighs 25 grs

Good luck this season:).

wes,I have no doubt the GG will do the job,it is intended for head shots only, but that puts you shooting at a small, very quick, constantly moving target unless you putt to get him standing at attention at full alert. That is fine for gun when you are throwing a 10 or so inch circle of lead at him at 12-1400 fps,but an arrow at 240-300 fps gives him more time to duck, jerk out of the way of a 4in X. I do feel the GG is a clean kill or clean miss head,I feel better with a relaxed, slightly larger target that I can shoot at from several angles, struting or not. Just my opinion

Thanks guys...I will be checking into getting some pretty soon, and now I have a better idea of what to get.
NC~ I'm already addicted to my bow, and I haven't picked up a gun since I bought it, so I'm with you on that...I'm positive once I kill a bird with my bow, a gun will just be an emergency backup.;);)
