What part of the turkey to aim at?

Do most of you aim at the mid-neck area of a turkey's neck prior to pulling the trigger or do you aim lower, by the beard?

right at the bottom of the head....if its farther...35+yds....ill aim for the baseball head....aiming lower would put more pellets in the bird......but thats not needed...i knew my old pattern....and it centerd nicely....and the ends were all loose and holey....so i held it like a rifle and let the center do its job...if i had a nice uniform dense pattern id aim mid neck so you take out the head and all the neck.......

I usually aim for base of the head. Hopefully by that I can get a decent amount of beads in a variety of kill zones.

I've always touched it off on the waddles centered in the middle of the neck!Your pattern comes out of your gun in somewhat of a cone effect and to aim directly at the head you end up cutting your pattern in half sending it over the top of the birds head! This helps in maximizing your pattern!Take a look at Struts post on "10gaBPS,pattern,very pleased', and analyze the Primos turkey target Strut uses! That to me is the coorect point of aim simply for the reason mentioned.;)
