Your opinions on a Limbsaver recoil pad...
 

I recently purchased a new stock for my 835, the new stock came with a hard rubber recoil pad. The factory recoil pad has more give just from the touch, and it still leaves my shoulder all colors of yellow and purple after a patterning session. So I was thinking of picking up a limbsaver recoil pad, but I don't know if it is worth it or not.

Any advice???

I can't speak from experience, yet, but I've heard good things about the limbsaver recoil pad and just put one on my 870. I'm not sure when I'll have the chance to get to the range to try it out though. When I do, I'll post results.

I put one on my benelli. I shoot 3 1/2's with it. Turkey & duck load and I love mine. Just my experience.

I've got one on my 870 SPT and it is well the price. I have a pachmeyer decelarator pad on another gun and one is as good as the other. Get either one and you wont be dissapointed.

I have one on a T/C Omega and shoot some pretty heavy loads with it. It's a world of difference from the stock pad. The Limbsaver pad is an upgrade that is well worth the money! I need one on my 870 now!

I have one on my remington 870 supermag. Takes the punishment out of the 3 1/2". I'd say they are well worth the money. You'll be glad you put one on.

Have one on both my turkey thumpers plus my T/C Omega. It helps;)

I put one on my 835. One of the smartest things I've done. It really works well!!

why spend money on something for the gun when ya can use that to buy a few more calls. I just grab one of the wife's towels and slip it under my shirt if I know I am going to be shooting more than normal. It works great for me. We all know that you don't even remember the recoil when you shoot at a turkey in the field.
