I love hunting out of a blind. I have the Cabela's brand blind that just came out last year. It sets up kinda like an umbrella.. I love it. It is has plenty of room and sets up easily. I will get you the exact model number and post it later today. It is fairly inexpensive too. Just $159 I believe

I have several types ,
love 'em all for different reasons .

Ameristep Outhouse - for gun hunting only , all species .
Hunter Specialities turkey blind - for turkey hunting since I need a low open top blind for that .
Guide Gear - similar to Ameristep Blockhouse - for gun or bow hunting when accompanied by a bud and more room is needed .
Hunter Specialities tree stand blind - helps hide my movement when up a tree , combined with a Treebrella for weather protection .

All of them provide me with the portability I need for my type of hunting , I hate wasting time in an unproductive spot . Not having to worry about getting rained or snowed on is also a plus .

I like the Double Bull blinds. They are more expensive but definitely worth it. If you are willing to pay the extra bucks get one.

I recently picked up one of those H.S. Strut blinds, the one which is 27" tall and 6' long.
This will be the first season trying one of these out. I never hunted from a totaly enclosed blind before, for either deer or turkey. I have heard nothing but good things about the Double-Bull line of blinds.
;)

I made one relatively inexpensive....Here's what I did.....If you have an outdoors retailer that carries camo material in bulk on a roll purchase 1 yd of material. Then go to your local hardward store and get two 1" dowels about 36" long. Spread out the material and staple the edges to the 1" dowels with a heavy duty staple gun but ensure that you leave about 8-10" of the dowels exposed. This is imporant for sticking the dowels into the ground. After you have the material stapled to the dowels, take a knife and whittle one end of the two dowels into a point. This will make it easier to stick them into the ground. Sometimes you may need to pound them with a rock if the dirt is a little tough. I like to leave a little "droop" in the middle for a shooting lane. They roll-up nicely making it easy to carry them into the turkey woods too.

I have the doghouse blind and I have used it for deer hunting. The deer have to get used to it. It makes them uneasy for a couple of days. The shoot through windows only work for bow you are supposed to take them out to shoot through the window with a gun. I have not used it for turkey hunting because this is my first year hunting turkey. It comes with a pouch that it folds into and has straps for carying it on your back. It is fairly light weight and easy to carry. Hope this helps.

Id say go with a Double Bul, if you want the Best. A Friend had a Ameristep Blind and did not like it, as the Stiching was coming out of it, after only a few uses. I see there is one for sale on the Hunting Classifieds, and it seems like a Good Price. Good Luck whatever way you go.

Buy One Blind....Buy a Double Bull...If you are like me and some other hunters that I know. You will buy a cheaper blind and not be happy with it and end-up with a Double bull and kick yourself for not buying it in the first place. I have the Double Bull BS5 and absolutly Love it!!!!
