Just order the new 835 ulti-mag grand slam series, really like the 20' barrel for turks, i don't like the barrel not being ported like on my other 835, but the recoil don't bother me anyhow, and yes i do shoot it alot!! does anybody else have this gun and how do you like it?

I have the 835 also, awesome turkey gun and I use it for everything from turkey to skeet shooting. Its a great gun

I use a Hastings extended choke tube and 3 1/2 inch Winchester #4's. It will really reach out there.

Outback......Mossberg will PORT the barrel for under $30......Send barrled only.....Check thier website

I have a mossberg 500A with a 28inch barrel.It works for me. I wanted an 835,but I dont have $$$$ for one now.

i dont reall know if the porting helps much or not...it just helps to impair your hearing faster. haha

I just bought a new 835, but my ears were shot any way. Come on you young guys, wear hearing protection of some kind, or you end up like this old hunter no mattter what you shoot. Jim

How do like it? What are you shooting at?
About the hearing, you got that right. When I was
younger I never used ear protection. I have paid
the price. I use Lee Sonic ear plugs now.

What model 835 did you get?

I have the 835 Camo "Fly Way" 12 ga 28" non-ported
