RE: Turkey hunting with my bow

Your set up will most certainly take down a turkey provided you can hit him in the right place. My only suggestion on the set up would be to maybe take a look at either a new broadhead for the turkeys (NAP gobbler getters) or adding an adder to the back of the broadhead. Ideally, you don't want a passthrough on the bird. It helps to keep the arrow in the bird. A passthrough can make it difficult (but not impossible) to recover the bird. Birds don't bleed like a deer does, so blood tracking is not always an option.

Hope this helps.

No doubt your setup will work with turkeys. I would suggest you
switch to a mechanical broadhead. I'd recommend the regular
Spitfire as opposed to the Gobbler Getter, only difference is the
tip. Sounds like you should probably go with the 75 gr Spitfire,
which has a 1 1/4" cut, compared to the 100 gr which has a
1 1/2" cut. Another excellent choice would be Rocket's 3P
Wolverine - 78 gr and 1 1/4" cut.

I don't think you should worry about getting a pass-through or
not, no guarantee the gobbler won't fly off with your arrow
anyway[:@]. Get your bow shooting well, practice until you
can place that arrow where it needs to be.....above all else,
shot placement is the key:).
