Activ shells

Has anyone used these shells? Pretty sure they were popular back in the mid to late 90's around here. I sure would like to get my hands on some more. Are these shells even made anymore?

A guy I hunt with uses them still. I had a few of the slugs, worked pretty well, but I never tried the turkey shells. I haven't seen any for a few years.

I brought this question up last year.......those shells ruled, for my shotgun.....Someone told me that they went outta business.......don't know why......I know a guy that caught wind they were going outta business, while they were still on the shelves.....and bought a ton of them(well not a ton, but ALOT).....I tried to get a couple of boxes off of him.....I woulda got about the same response from him if I'da asked for an evening with his wife.

Some guns shoot them and some don't. My wifes was one and she bought a Case for her self.

I heard that the plant had burnt down and they decided not to rebuild and went out of Business , I could be wrong but that was the story I heard...BT

Adrian, the Active shell company was bought out by another shell company called "Kent" a few years ago. Hence, you won't see anymore Active shells being made. The only ones you will see, are the ones left over at some sporting good's shops.;)

A friend used them in turkey loads. He liked them because they were 2 1/4 oz loads in 3". I still have some of the steel shot waterfowl looads they are great in flooded timber but not so good over open water. Too slow. They are out of business forever and Kent bought all their loading equipment in the late 90's. Good luck finding some. I am a Winchester Supreme fan 3" 1 3/4 oz load.
