My father has had two hernia repairs. There are some nasty things involved I won't get into. But, I will say take it easy... And not to worry because the swelling eventually goes down! <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>:)

I wish you a Quick recovery,Just listen to the Doc's advice and you will be out and about chasing critter's before you know it.
The tuffest thing will to keep yourself from doing any lifting(Voice of experience)
