this might sound stupid but......

I have a box of steel #2's left over from waterfowl season, would these work for turkeys?

No such thing as a stupid question.

I would save that box of shells for waterfowl. And do check the legal shot size allowed in your state. Some states have shot size requirements.

I prefer to use Winchester Supremes #4.

Good luck

they would kill a turkey if you have a good pattern and its a heavy fast load....i killed a fall turkey with a 2 3/4 inch #4 steel shot.......was pheasant hunting..and the birds kept flushing far out....so my frist shot was agame load...noone would sell a 16yr old ammo that day....so the steel was the next best thing for a farther shot.....dropped that turkey right out of the sky....flushed her from the top of the pinetrees i was in.....folded her like a dove....but youd have to pattern your gun and see how it shoots for you to be safe......good luck
