Tons of turkeys

After a week of deer hunting in eastern ontario I can further atest to the success of the Ontario re-introduction which began 20 yrs ago or so. After having one walk in front of me bow hunting on Saturday before the opener, in a spot I have NEVER seen turkey's, I decided to count the number sighted.

I gave up after 127. The number is probably somewhere around 300 seen in the various fields and bushlots where we deer hunt.

Best sighting was three gobblers. 2 looked as big as cows and all three had looooong beards.

Got me counting the days until April's opener!
