Pardner Pump

Anyone here ever owned a Pardner Pump. I would like to know anything you could tell me about them. Any problems with them? Also i want to know who makes chokes to fit them and how much they are.

thanks:)

Sorry, I haven't shot one before. All I know is that they're made in China, which is the main reason why I have no interest in owning one. Guns & Ammo published a review of the Pardner in the September 2004 issue, I believe. I think it might even have been in their "Guns of the Year" section, but to be honest, I only lightly skimmed the article. Better dead than red, if you know what I mean. ;):D

It is a ripoff of the Remington 870, which is not that expensive. Why not just buy an 870 and not take the gamble?[&:]

I have not owned or even shot one, but I have read two reviews on them. They are a close copy of the Rem. 870. "Close" means that not all parts will interchange, so if it breaks your local gunsmith may not be able to fix it easily. You can get choke tubes for it, I believe that one article said Mossberg chokes will fit it.
I know the price makes it look like a great deal, but as buttonbuck said, the Remington 870 Express is only a little more. And any gunsmith can fix it, in the unlikely event that it breaks. And you can really customize the 870's to be exactly what you want because every manufacturer that makes aftermarket equipment does so for the 870.
