Po' boys blind

Can anybody share there ideas for a do-it-yourself blind. I've heard the cheap blinds simple don't give enough room for archers and I ain't ready to plop down a whole lot of dough for something im not sure i'll like.

I've heard of the hangin a cloth from a tree branch and staking two corners to the ground, making a pyramid sheet to sit behind and shoot as they walk past the edge.

Any others?

Soilarch, go too either a Walmart or fabric shop and get some Camo fabric. They sell it by the foot. I purchased mine from wm, and use it too wrap around my tree stand, or for a ground blind. Also, the blinds from Ameristep, are good blinds. I have the outhouse, which is good for one person. I would recommend the other sizes for your needs.

Tom,in my opinion not only the cheapest but one of the most effective blinds is a do-it-yourselfer,using the natural foilage around your hunting area!Year round on my ranch's I guide on, I build natural blinds primarily for gun hunters! As you know turkeys frequent the same areas throughout the year and a well placed natural blind can put you right in the middle of em!With a good saw,a pair of clippers, you can fashion exactly what you need and want according to what the birds are doing!I've hunted out of the same natural blinds for years and add a few limbs and what not year by year to keep them from looking like a big brush pile!Ya it may take a little muscle and sweat but you cant get any cheaper and I like being creative! The other advantage I like is when I leave the blind it stays, know folding up,breaking down, and hauling around the woods!Just an idea that works for me,hope it helps.....Bob

I second Ameristep. I've seen a few deals on ebay and at different shows. The Harrisburg PA show had them for $40.00 last year...BT
