Browning BPS for first timer
I have got a Browning BPS with a 28" barrel.
Does anybody have any suggestions for choke/load combinations. Also, how do the push type calls work that mount to your shotgun. They seem to have the least movement for someone who can't master diaphram calls, yet!. Thanks for any input, I'm really looking forward to the hunt. |
RE: Browning BPS for first timer
I use a Truglo tube in my BPS, but it's an older one w/standard Invector instead of Inv + choke.

RE: Browning BPS for first timer
I'm going to pattern my 12 gauge 3 1/2" BPS on Friday. I will be testing the following combinations:
1.)Pittman super full ported choke .670 constriction 2.)Rhino ported turkey choke .685 constriction 3) Browning factory turkey choke not sure of the constriction on this. I will be testing Winchester and Federal 2 and 2 1/4 ounce #4's. Will post the results later. |
RE: Browning BPS for first timer
My BPS gets the best patterns out of the factory x-full turkey choke with #4's.

RE: Browning BPS for first timer
I've got one of the old ones 30" full choke.
no tubes, just plane old full choke barrell. I want to have it cut to 24" or 26" and rechoked this summer. I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry. |
RE: Browning BPS for first timer
Try a Hastings extended choke tube.

RE: Browning BPS for first timer
My 10 gauge BPS shots the best with the Browning x-full Turkey choke.
