I'm not sure about the Mystic or the K&H calls, but Penns Woods has made a waterproof box for a couple of years. The ones I've heard sound pretty good to me. You may want to check out Boxcall Magic. It will make your box call moisture proof and it hasn't hurt the sound of my calls at all.

I just bought a Mistic box call from Cabelas a few days ago. It sounds real good. Can make high loud calls or low soft calls. The funny thing is that in Cabelas it was advertised as being waterproof, but on the package it doesn't say a word about being waterproof, except on the back under "Care of Your Call" it says if you are hunting in bad weather you should put your call in a ziplock bag to keep dry. I quess thats what they mean by waterproof!!! LOL, LOL. We'll see how it works this spring and hopefully I won't have to find out if it works in the rain.

I have a Mystic box call.The paddle is coated so you don't need to use chalk but the sides probally are not waterproof.
The Lohman's box call majic works real well.
