Ive used a Revolver release for 15 yrs. which is right on the string with no problems. If your a 3D shooter its alittle gentlier release. For hunting I like to leave my release on the string,ready for any quick shots. Hope this helps. John

I attended a seminar by Randy Ulmer at amo show and ask that same question.He said they tested in slow motion arrows leaving bows with both.He said it was almost the same.Loop does save wear on serving.
