Finding Birds

I just moved to NH from NC. In NC I learned the basics of turkey hunting but never had much trouble finding birds.

While deer hunting last fall in NH. I saw turkeys in both locations I hunt deer (only in groups of three). Do they stay in the same location throughout the year. What I mean is, will they be in the same general location in May?

Skyhigh- one good way to answer that question is a couple of days in the woods scouting. Where I hunt here in Iowa, the birds are in the same general area year around, although they do move around within their homerange. Good Luck!!

Legwork through scouting is the best way. Take hikes through the areas u think the birds are at and check for sign. Like scratchins with alot of leaves messed up from feedin and droppings to see the sex of the birds. I like to walk old loggin roads, kinda like grassy unused roads to look for sign, Turkeys use these frequently. Good luck
