Tube calls and wingbone calls

I currently tote a Lohman box call, five Primos mouth calls, and a crow call turkey hunting. I've noticed ads for tube and wingbone calls in some turk hunting magazines. Would I be better off to have one of them in my arsenal too?

I use a Ben Lee tube call when it's windy or for long range work out west. It's really loud and does some great cutting.

I carry both, a wingbone, and a tube call. The tube call I carry is a "Morgan Call" They are the original snuff can call. They have a very unique sound, but sound so sweet in the woods. I also like the wingbone. it has a sound all its own also. Mine is homemade, so its from a gobbler wing which from what i hear makes it a little deeper pitched than that from a hen. We dont have a fall season here which allows you to shoot hens as some states do, so guess im stuck with a deep call.

I would recommend that you learn how to use both of these calls. The tube call can make every sound a turkey makes including the gobble. It's not that hard to learn to opperate and it can be used with a lot of volume or very soft. I have a Tom Turpin yelper made by Penns Wood that every turkey I have bagged in over 30 years has responded to. I'm very proficient using mouth diaphragms having in my youger days competed in calling contests and winning several. The yelper or wingbone takes quite a while to master, it was a little harder then a mouth call to learn to use. I take a large arsenal of calls with me;

1. Tom Turpin yelper
2. Morgan Caller
3. Screaming Hen boatpaddle
4. Camp cedar box
5. Carolina Assassin glass/3pegs
6. Country Boy slate/2pegs
7. mouth calls about 10 from clear to very raspy made by Qauker Boy, Cane creek, Primos, HS Strut, and some I make myself.
8. predator call
9. goose call
10. crow call
11. I owl with my voice & also gobble & cluck purr and yelp some
