Well i hunt public land in Md and i would think that you would to if you hunt hear. I will be doing some hunting in up state Ny this year to try and get away from the crouds. Pa is a big state why not hunt there?

I suggest a state where you can hunt, before PA opens, which is all the states south of you, but all of those seasons will take away from scouting in PA since openers are in mid to late april. Only states way south like AL which I will be hunting and back before the the snow even melts in NY. But I have hunted the Mongahela National Forest in WV and loved every minute of it.

Population on the forest can be really good, and it can be ok, winters can be tough. But the quality of hunting cant be beat. Large expanses of public land with lots of gated roads. Youll be alone with alot of birds if your willing to walk. Avoid the first week, peaple can be a problem around the roads and it has snowed on two of my opening days there. Beaver Dam WMA is a good place to start. Lots of bird ussually, dont get lost. Two bird limit in WV.

what part of pa you from? im just south of harrisburg. what counties do you hunt in? i will be heading up to tioga for opening weekend. i got some unfinished business with a particular long beard from last year to take care of. good luck and safe hunting.

..I think the price is a little better than $100.oo dollers for a out of state lincence that includes fishing,,,WVA...:)...

I run a turkey camp here in Connecticut, about $60 for a lic/permit. Also I guide hunters for approx. $100 per day with 90% kill rate and 100% fun..... many gobblers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
