ocellated turkey pic

Here are two the only two good photos I got while in Belize C.A. of turkeys. I don't know if I had bad film or my camera has had it :( but a lot of them didn't come out. I'm glad the jaguar hanging out in the tree top came out :D Wouldn't want to be turkey hunting there and call this guy in [:o] Not sure if my turkey load would have an affect on him other than making him very mad [:@]

Next time we head down I'll be sure to have a nice digital with a zoom:D

No, but I did some asking on this trip. I was told that in the southern part of Belize is where you can hunt them but it cost a lot of $$. I think my best chance would to head over to Guatemala and try to find someone in a village there. When we went to Tikal in Guatemala a few years ago I saw a lot of turkeys on the trip in. At Tikal they were everywhere but also protected on the Tikal N.P. land.

We'ev been there twice and do plan on going back :D You can bet I'll be doing some research a head of time.
