turkey tail from this year's first bird
every bird i have harvested is either on cypress or cedar, but the very first.....so these are a couple of pics of the one tail mount i did of the first bird harvested this year, had the feet dried but they didnt work , so i had to cut the spurs off....it's not permanent so if you have any ideas to better it, let me know.....

hm-Please understand I like the tail mount just as it is, but you asked for suggestions, so--
how about cutting the back half of the cypress piece off so it is flat to the tail and then you can wall mount the tail and beard?
Or a little plaque with the details--date, time, location, beard length, weight, spur length, etc. ?
Or put a picture of you and the turkey in a circle in the knob on top of the cypress piece near where the tail connects to the wood?
Or put a slate and striker on the "arms" of the wood?
All just suggestions since you asked. I really think the mount is neat as it is!!
