My bird stats
 

In a previous post, I told of my 2004 spring turkey success, but didn't have the "numbers" for two of the birds. I re-packed the truck tonight, as my wife's Minnesota spring season starts tomorrow and we're heading out, and while I was re-organizing the gear, I discovered my notes. Here's the stats from my three birds this spring:


South Dakota Merriam's taken 4/11/04
22 lbs. 14 oz.
8 3/4" beard
5/8" & 7/8" spurs
Score 55.375

Kansas Eastern taken 4/14/04
20 lbs.
9" beard
1 1/8" & 1 1/16" spurs
Score 59.88

Minnesota Eastern taken 4/19/04
23 lbs. 2 oz.
9" beard
3/4" & 3/4" spurs
Score 56.125


I still have a leftover tag for Kansas, and if my wife gets her bird on Friday or Saturday, I'll head on down to Kansas for a few days to see if I can fill that second tag. Hope she gets a bird first thing!!! (I'll be videotaping for her.)
