Jake behavior around decoys

I have noticed that when more than one jake comes into a decoy setup, they appear to get confused...stretching their necks high looking all around (for the big guy?)...then start what sounds like clucking ....and then wander off. I resolved this year to not shoot any jakes because if they make to next spring...they'll be tha much bigger and much more fun to pack out ;)

What are your thoughts, experiences and opinions on jake behavior around decoys?

Thanks:)

Yup, jakes can and will put on quite a show.....just like a bunch of awkward teenagers around a Playboy model or me for that matter..LOL;)...it can be quite entertaining. We had a group of five come to decoys and they were tripping on it other, bumping and not sure what to do....a first time youth hunter took one and they still hesitated to flee....quite comical for sure.....as comical at times can be when a hen comes into a decoy...one I know of, my friend Ray Smith of River Valley Game Calls was involved with a film when a hen came in and grabbed a decoy and ran across the field with it......LOL

I've had two jakes spook at the very sight of my decoys over the years, but I haven't had any gobblers spook at them though.....yet.;)
