Maryland hunters

Are the Maryland gobblers still looking for company? At this time of the season, what are the best tactics to use?

RE: Maryland hunters

OK, I was out this morning, and other than bumping 3 birds off the roost early, I didn't see or hear a thing. I moved around most of the morning trying to get a response to my calls but had no luck whatsoever. Has anyone else in Md. had any action lately or are the toms done with the women for this year??

RE: Maryland hunters

I learned from last year, that it is critical to go the first two weeks in April if on the eastern shore. But critical to go about May 7th or so in Western Maryland. I fortunately got my bird, scored 65, first week in Dorchester. But now, I can't get one to make a peep.
