RE: Anyone from New Hampshire got there Turkey yet
My youngest son got one during youth weekend:
18 lbs, 9.5 inch beard, 1 inch spurs
Older son is going to try again this weekend, two hunting partners who called
for my boys are both done.

I just moved to Keene from Central PA. I didn't get a NH gobbler this year (still don't qualify for a resident license) but I did get a non resident license for VT (most of my family is there plus the non resident licences are lots cheaper). I killed a nice 18lb - 9.5" bearded bird this past saturday morning. I actually almost killed another at the same time (2 tags in VT) the other one was bigger but just wouldn't come in any closer so after waiting about 15 minutes I shot the closest one to me before he figured out the decoy he was trying to mount wasn't real......lol. They both had to of gobbled at me at least 50 times over a 2 hour period before I finally pulled the trigger. Here is a quick pic. I am hopeful to spend some time in the NH woods this fall though and next spring as well.

I scored opening morning on this 17 lb Jake with a 5" beard. He was with a Boss and his twin brother and I waited as long as I could hoping for the Boss to come in closer .. but this jake started to smell a rat so I took him. I took him in J2 at 5:45 am. Worked 6 other birds that day for my friends who just got real unlucky with a few real nice/lucky birds.
It's been a great year with lots of bird activity. They've been a little quiet but they are there.
