Osceola Hunters This Year
 

Would the Osceola Hunters from the Grand Slam Contest either post here or e-mail me a realistic idea about there chances of taking a bird. Please don't sandbag, this is all for fun. We have a fifth Osceola hunter that would like to participate, and I would like to try and get him on the team that legitimately has the least opportunity to take a bird. Better yet just e-mail me your reply [email protected] that way I can look at each reply and judge it individually. Thanks!

good luck Chris---I have hunted several times the other side of the Williams lease there in Palmdale--nice area---Ryan--I have haD no problems taking birds the last 4 years with gun but will be using my bow this year to complete a bow slam in one year--anything can happen--team 3--billy

I will be hunting with a friend and one of the Tom Gaskins clan so maybe that will help a little on my luck. If we have any bad luck at all, I have a few other options, I can head south of Naples and hunt with some close friends, and if that fails me I will be heading out with Dave Santangelo. I have 2 weeks to spend filming down there before I have any other hunts.

chris- have talke to Ton Jr many times used to visit him at the old house at fisheatin creek--still like his calls--tell him the bear guide talked to you--Haven't talked to him since last year--hunted behind his old place last year--I live S of Naples 7 months of the year--Marco Island--have hunted Big Cypress many times and some local hot spots--good luck--billy bear

You sound familier as well, have I met you at Bear Island? Tom Jr. and Jack Whittington are the two that will be hunting Fisheating Creek with me, are you talking about the old cabbage palm house? I love that thing! I spend a couple months every year or 2 in Bonita Springs and Naples with the Ballard family.

chris--yes have spent alot of time on bicycles and 4x4 in Bear Island--alot of fun alot of tuff hunting--My folks used to live in Sebring so would stop on the way through to see Tom--been hunting on the special opportunity hunts the past few years Triple N ranch and Fisheating creek--I had the 5 year license so was grandfathered in on free hunts --it was a beautiful thing to bad it ran out!! spent over 20 winters living on Bonuta Beach--billy
