Pattern of a Nova with a hasting choke

I did a little patterning this morning in between rain showers. I'm using a Nova 12 ga. with a hastings non-ported choke tube. I was shooting 3 in. Winchester Supreme 5 shot. This is a picture of the best pattern out of the three. I had a hard time keeping it steady. The wind was howling around 25-30 mph. Shot was taken at 30 steps. Not the best pattern but hopefully I can get a real feel for how well it does when conditions are a little better.
There is 81 in the cirlcle, 41 in the turkey, and 10 in the red.

hey titleist,

Can you adjust your sights? Reason I ask is, it appears a large portion of your shot load is hitting about 1-2 inches high. If you can adjust your sights slightly, I think you'll be counting a lot more pellets ;)

However, because of the windy conditions I wouldn't adjust until you shoot with minimal wind.

If possible; shoot from an improvised bench rest as you would from a rifle. It will make a world of difference. That way you can tell if you need a sight adjustment or not.

The wind was definately effect my shot. I'm gonna use a bench this time. I have no sights to adjust so I think it was just me not being able to hold steady.

I use the same gun and a hastings choke, but I use the 3.5" supreme #5's and you should see my targets at 30 yards, I don't know the payload diff right offhand but it really rakes the target! You should try them!

I might run out and grab some Carp. Hopefully my shoulder can handle it.
