WHEN TO LOCATE TURKEYS

I KNOW YOU CAN ROOST THEM FIRST THING AT NIGHT AND RIGHT BEFORE DAYLIGHT, BUT CAN YOU GET THEM TO GOBBLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. THANKS

RE: WHEN TO LOCATE TURKEYS

During peak gobbling, they will shock gobble at anything, at anytime.

I've found that during the middle of the night though, they tend to only gobble well at very loud noises---such as thunder---and do not respond well to owls or coyote yips.

Your best bet is +/- 1 hour sunrise & sunset. I prefer gobble tubes, crow & owl calls.

I don't like using the coyote howl, just because it's a natural predator...

I use just a regular tube gobble or a crow call myself and sometimes I just listen and hear where they're at and I go and mark theit place of roast.:D:D:D

yeah..pretty much what these guys said. I rarely have to use anything in the morning because of all the crows and owls but I generally use a crow call.
