Anyone with directions on the best way to clean and pluck a turkey please let me know. Any shortcuts or suggestions will be appreciated. Does everyone find it as big a chore as I do?? gg.

Give them away. It's the only wild game I'm really not crazy about. I guess that's one reason I usually let someone else do the hunting. We camp on a farmers land and usually give him our birds.

first I hang the bird by the head, start with the neck and skin all the way down.pull all the skin off to the feet.I cut the wing off at the second joint.after that lay the bird on his back.run the knife down the breast bone and peal the breast off both sides.cut the wings off , press down on the legs and you will hear them pop off at the thigh.cut them off and into.the thin skin over the guts, you remove and gut.cut the carcuss in to cooking pieaces.

we slice and fry the breast, the rest we put into the crock pot with an onion and a carrot.cook over night,it will fall off the bones. remove from liquid and save the liquid to cook the rice with.
cook your rice and make your favorite dressing mix.mix in rice and bake.slice the breast and fry.
You can't beat it,with a biscuit
