OH NO..... Mossberg 500... Help plz
 

you all know how a shotgun comes in a box. My question is??? YAll know they come in 2 peices. Not the barrel but the other part you know where you put the shells in the pump on the mossberg 500 are you suppost to take the wooden rod out. If you dont it holds 2 in the pump if take it out it holds 5. Plz help jsut got the gun today . And realy love it but what do i do????

That wooden dowel is your plug. Taking it out depends on if it's legal to do so in your state. Most states allow you to carry 3 shells in your gun at a time. I would check with your game dept. on that one

that's a magazine plug.. they are easy to remove and i would recommend it, if it is legal in your state. in florida it is legal if you are hunting turkey or quial to have it removed, but for ducks, it's gotta be there... for turkey, i would take it out though...
