Well, I'm getting to take my dad turkey hunting next weekend. He's coming to visit the new grandbaby and the trip is timed during what should be some great turkey hunting action. He's never been turkey hunting before but got me into hunting since birth or shortly thereafter. I think it's cool that this time I'll be the teacher and dad will be the student. I've got 3 big toms that I haven't messed with and have tried to keep secret from the rest of the club members in hopes dad will be able to bag one of them. We'll need all the luck that we can get because even though the gobbling should be hot, there will still be a lot of hens in the mix.

Now that sounds really cool. I would love to be able to give something like this back to the Ole Man. Good luck to him, hope he nails a limb hanger!

i wish my dad hunted... oh well.. he tought me how to fish, so that's what we do together... i think my dad hates hunting because the first time he ever went hunting it was for rabbits with a 22 short because he didn't know better, as he was 16 at the time. when he shot the rabbit it didn't die because that's really not a goo dhunting round, esp. for rabbits... i finally convinced him to shoot skeet and trap though.. we got a big tarpon trip planned for june... that shoudl be fun too...
